Bread Furst is, first and foremost, a bakery with a great patisserie. In searching for chef Mark Furstenburg’s new home, no place was as relevant and meaningful as the Connecticut Avenue neighborhood where he grew up. The space was conceived as a baker’s dream workshop for Mark to hone his craft, with the front of the store serving as a theater for interactions with customers.
